Does dowsing only work for some people

What is it in a person that enables them to be successful at water witching?

I've tried it and several others did as well, but only the water witch could get this forked stick that he had to work. Is there something that some people have more of than others, a mineral or something?

My water witch found me 11 gal per min and he has been doing it for years (60+) and he also wanted to know why he could do it and many who have tried can't.

I would love to get him his lifelong question answered.

Getting Dowsing To Work

The simple answer is that there could be many different reasons why it works for some people and not for others...which is not very helpful.

But I'll try to break it down a little more.

Firstly, you are only referring to water-witching. It is possible that you could be very good at another type of dowsing. Just because one type doesn't work for you now doesn't mean that another type (say, map-dowsing or using dowsing to help you in, for example, gardening) won't work really well for you.

Other possible reasons can include not believing in it at some level. There could be all sorts of reasons for that; things heard in childhood, religion, parents etc., etc..

Another common reason is that, in a past life you were killed or harmed for doing something like dowsing. That means in this life, you are not going to want to dowse!

Also, don't overlook the idea that most dowsing tends to want you to concentrate on using the tool properly. But it might just be that you are naturally better without a tool and that the forked twig or whatever is distracting you from what you can naturally do.

I am pleased you mentioned about minerals. It is true that if you are not properly mineralized and hydrated (have enough electrolytes and water) then your dowsing responses can be weakened. This is an aspect which is often overlooked.

The precise reason can vary from person to person, as you can see. However, I have found that pretty much everybody can dowse, once you've worked out what the block is.
