Dowsing and Racehorses
by Nicholas
I've been studying this connection for years. However after finding this site I'm thinking 'back to school' because I'm terrible at asking the right question at the right time. On a dreary December mid afternoon I walked into an OTB in NY City. I was across the street at a friend's studio. I looked up and it was 12 minutes before post time, the last race at Aqueduct. I had a pendulum but as I was reaching in my pocket the race seemed fine. To my left someone left a racing Form on the counter and it was opened to the 9th race the last race. My eyes went immediately to the #10 horse. I recognized the name, the horse was in my virtual stable which I keep online. But at the time when I initially found the horse with the pendulum, I was probably one or two races early. I knew this was a potential for a long time. This would the second or third wager on that horse and the public was offering me 10/1 odds a very nice price. The favorite didn't look good for his running style which was up front. The public was making a mistake and my horse would be pressing. Pressers are the fighters and determine the outcome of many races. I didn't want to get into the numbers of the other horses too much. At a quick glance they all looked similar. I read the trackman's comments on each horse and two stuck out. One was "best stride too late", it was 17/1 odds and another was "Hit Gate" that one was also double digit odds. I'm either going to have a great score or not but this bet has to be made. The wagers left me with a subway token, I could get home. We're listening to the race. TV wasn't allowed yet, and Sunset #10 is 3 lengths off the lead at the top of the stretch absolutely his best space. He was winning going away. I had to control myself. The other attendees were stunned. My other two beat the favorite for second and third. I had them all. After a ten minute wait I couldn't believe the trifecta paid 13 thousand dollars. It took a sweet lady 1/2hour to count the money over and over again. She'd die if I gave her the Tri Ticket. Here was an perfect example of timing, an angel at OTB, he left the form, thank you, and my expectation levels were balanced, I didn't have a real need. But mostly it was the previous work with the pendulum revealing Sunsets' excellence.
