Dowsing Chicken Eggs

I'm interested in increasing my flock of Bantam chickens, however, the thought of getting over 60% roosters (like the last time I hatched out eggs) is almost too much to bear.

It's not just the fighting and raping of hens when you have way too many roosters, it's the frustration of raising these lives, only to have to knock them off just as they reach the age of maturity.

I've come across information - only little glimpses - of using dowsing to tell the sex of the unhatched eggs. This would be fabulous if I could do it and only hatch out hens!

My question to you is, have you ever done this, or heard of it? I'd be grateful to any information you might have.
