Dowsing Questions and Answers

I asked the dowsing rods a question and was surprised by the answer. How accurate are the answers and are there any variables that can change the answer? I believe that the rods work and the answers are true but was truly shocked by the answer that came back.

This is a huge area! Firstly, though, being surprised by an answer is often a good thing because it means you weren't looking for a particular answer.
Secondly, there are all sorts of things which can influence answers, from your own subconscious to the environment, even other people and beings.
Thirdly, the question itself is of major importance as the wording of the question is vital.
Maggie and I take the view that the answer you get is always accurate, for the question you asked, bearing in mind that that means you have to be very clear indeed as to what exactly the question really did ask. (Subconscious stuff again as well the meaning of words.)
Like I said, this is a huge area and not easily addressed in a short answer like this. We do cover this whole area in great detail in our dowsing course as well as in the Dowsing Degree Program which might be of interest to you.
To really give you a good, specific answer it would be necessary to look in detail at the question you asked. Not only that, but to understand why the answer shocked you, because the emotional element in dowsing is very important indeed.
Being able to be emotionally detached from both the question and the answer is important. The 'dowsing state' as it is often called, is something which gets easier with practice.
I have no idea how long you've been dowsing or what you normally dowse about. Each of these would also feed in to the answer about the dowsing accuracy.
As I hope you can see, this is a very complex area and I'm sorry I can't give a really accurate answer, but, given all the variables, I hope you can see why that could be a problem.
But I also thank you for bringing up this very important aspect of dowsing which, I hope, will be informative for other visitors.
