Finding depths with a pendulum

I am using the pendulum for dowsing. I am getting good results in finding the location of buried artifacts (gold coins,silver coins...). The issue is I cannot determine the depth of the found item.
Is there any technique that will allow me to detect depth via pendulum dowsing?

Yes, there is a simple way of doing this.
Once you have found your item, ask if it is less then 1 meter below the surface, five meters, ten meters and so on, until you get a yes response. You can then narrow it down to get the precise depth. So, if you found it was between five and ten meters, you could then ask if it was six meters, seven, eight and so on, until you got a yes.
