l rods and gold

by Sidney Cone
(Missoula Mt)

I beach mine for gold in Nome Ak. When I returned home to Missoula, Mt, I put one oz of gold in my pan and tried out dowsing.

It was my first time at this.

I bought a couple of rods from Home Depot, formed them into an L shape and passed them over the vial of gold, which was on my kitchen counter top.

The rods crossed over the vial, every time.
I then placed the ends in pvc pipe,to eliminate any subconscious effects. The results were the same.

I'm currently reading a book called the "Intention Experiment" which is shedding light on the physics of dowsing.

Needless to say from a hardcore skeptic (sort of) I'm now engaged in further efforts and when I return to Nome this spring I will be giving dowsing a good go.

Finding Gold NEW
by: Nigel

Thanks, Sidney, for that story. Don't forget to update us on how it works out when you're back in Alaska!

'The Intention Experiment' is a very good book indeed. Particularly where it talks about what might affect intuition. You might also like the previous book called 'The Field', which has some more fascinating stuff about the very subtle things going on around and within us and how we and the world interact.

Going back to your gold and l-rods, I'd probably try to extend the experiment a little further by practicing finding the gold (or any gold object) when you've buried it or hidden it. Once you get more confident, then try finding it when someone else has hidden it.

In other words, keep extending what you do. This increases confidence and gives valuable practice.

But, like I said, please don't forget to keep us posted on your success in Alaska!

Thanks again.
