Map Dowsing Questions

Is it a good idea to dowse multiple targets on the same map? Would doing so increase the likelihood of energetic contamination?

And also if you have any preconceived notions about the possible location of the target, is it better to turn the map, photo, or sketch upside down and then dowse it?

Personally, I've never come across this problem, but I suspect that it might depend on what sort of targets you're after. I think just straightforward location of, say, animals, objects, people should be fine.

Treasure can be tricky because of the thought-forms around it, but other than that, I don't see it as a problem.

When I started map-dowsing, I practiced finding old ruins (castles specifically) on a large map of an area I didn't know and which I had to fold in half. Then I placed a sheet of newspaper over it. I got a distinct 'hit' on one part of the map. When I removed the paper and looked at the mark, there was nothing. But, when I turned the map over, I had a direct hit on a castle on the underside of the map.

So, for me, map dowsing works whether the map is right side up or not.

If you are still in doubt, first check, through dowsing, whether this is a belief which you have and whether it is active. If it is, either clear it or just go along with it and do what is necessary for your dowsing to work on the map.
