Do I program my pendulum? Is it a must to do this and, if so, how do you do it?

Pendulums and programs NEW

I've come across this idea lots of times in various places. It seems to have really caught on. But I'm not sure why.
The short answer is, like most things in dowsing, if you think you need to do this then you need to do this.
However, what you must always remember is that you are holding the pendulum and, despite what anyone thinks, you are making it move. What makes you move is the real question, but nevertheless, it is your movements which make the pendulum move.
Now, if that is the case, then programming the pendulum is really programming yourself! You are setting out boundaries for your dowsing. Programming usually seems to be about ensuring protection, getting accurate answers or the like. In other words, programming is all about making your dowsing better.
But, as I said, the real dowsing tool is yourself, so if you think you need to do anything to make yourself a better dowser (or mover of the pendulum) then you need to do it.
I think I once wrote down a very specific program for my dowsing a long time ago but I have no recollection of what it said and no idea if it worked. It seemed to act like a comfort blanket if I remember right, but I don't need it now.
And that's the other thing about dowsing: what works for you now probably will be discarded later on. At least it should, if you are intent on making progress in your dowsing.
Dowsing is fluid, it's a way of looking at the world, a way of life. Therefore it changes as you change.
