Around February of 2009, about 2 months after I began experimenting with dowsing.

I bought a new pendulum off the internet. I took it out of its package, asked for aid from my spirit guides and the God of Wisdom, then dowsed for six numbers for the Ohio Classic Lottery Drawing being held that particular Saturday night.

I had white plastic cards (all uniform in size) with the numbers from 1-49 on them. I turned the cards upside down so I didn't know what numbers I was dowsing, shuffled them, then laid them out on the floor.

I dowsed each number and my pendulum picked 6 numbers for me by rotating in a clock-wise direction. I went to the gas station and bought my ticket based on the numbers that my pendulum picked for me.

After the drawing that night, I was amazed to find that 4 out of 6 numbers were correct. I was elated, because I was practically brand new at this. I would like to say I've been consistent at this, but that is not the case.

A short time ago, I picked 3 out of 6 and won a whole $ 2.00! (whoopee!) with the same pendulum. I have tried other pendulums and have been able to pick 1 or 2 correct numbers and get very close sometimes on other numbers, such as being off by only 1 number.

I believe there are unseen forces at work aiding in my dowsing exercises. I always pray to the Powers that Be and my spirit guides for their aid before I dowse for answers to important questions.

I truly believe that my pendulums are connecting me with the Universe. What is your opinion about this?

Dowsing and the lottery

Well...there are several questions here and I'm not sure I'll be able to answer them all, but let's see how it goes...

First; blind dowsing. This is what you did with the cards upside down. It's a really good thing to do if you're trying to distance yourself from any emotions or the like. Simple and effective is always a good combination!

Secondly; dowsing for gain, money and so on. You'll often find that some people will tend to say that you shouldn't use dowsing for such things. My answer is that if it works, use it. I've rarely come across anyone who has made really big wins using dowsing, and then it's probably no better than chance that they won. I'd really like to see someone (maybe you??) win consistently big on a lottery through dowsing. Now that would make people sit up and think, wouldn't it?

Thirdly; about pendulums connecting you with the Universe. Well, that's one way of looking at it, certainly. My way of thinking is that we are all connected to it anyway and that using a tool such as a pendulum is just a way of allowing us to access that connection. Some people need more tools, some less, some change tools over time, but the connection is always there.

Lastly, I think that some people (not you) confuse dowsing with spirituality. Dowsing is just a tool, nothing more. But the nature of the tool tends to lead dowsers into areas which are generally considered to be spiritual. Areas like life after death, past lives, other beings, the nature of what it is to be human, where we all come from, where we all go are all things which most dowsers tend to bump into at one point or another. However, dowsing itself, is a just a tool to get there. It's part of what we are as humans, like breathing or thinking.

But it can take you to a lot more interesting places!!
